It is an interactive 3D computer imaging system that guides the doctors in implant surgery. With  computer guided implant surgery,  Dr.'s Nejat and Aldredge can actually do a virtual surgery before ever touching their patients mouth. The information gathered is extremely accurate allowing the doctors to visualize the placement of simulated implants and it gives them knowledge of the anatomy of the jaw in all three dimensions. It helps them locate important internal structures and also allows us to measure bone quality and quantity directly from these images.
